Tekken 5 Story Bruce was reported dead after a fatal aircrash during an investigation by Lei Wulong. However Bruce's body was never recovered but the case was closed as it seemed impossible that anyone could have survived the accident. Bruce Irvin enjoyed great success whilst working for Kazuya Mishima’s secret unit. However,since Kazuya Mishima lost to Heihachi 21 years ago, Bruce left the unit. He went on to join several special units in various countries. He now works as a survival instructor. Bruce knew of Kazuya’s participation in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4—he had believed he was dead. He also knew of the Zaibatsu’s wishes for the King of Iron Fist Tournament, even though they had just lost Heihachi Mishima. After hearing about the Iron Fist Tournament 5, Bruce felt that something special was to happen. Despite his anxieties about what was to happen, curiosity got the better of him and he decided to enter the tournament.
